Bearded since: 1982 (on and off). I am a dedicated, permanent beard grower.

I grew my beard because I was fed up with shaving. I first grew a full beard in 1982 at university, but shaved it off. Was clean shaven for most of my twenties. Had goatees / mustaches in my thirties and forties. This photo shows two months of growth.. Stopped shaving on my forty-eighth birthday in June 2009.

How do I feel about my beard? Pleased.
