I grew my beard because I wanted to try it. It was a right of passage of sorts. I've always been fascinated by beards. Most of my uncles and my father have all had some sort of facial hair for as long as I can remember.

I've had a goatee for at least three years now. When I first started growing it, the goatee was all I could grow. I have since added a mustache to my goatee.

I am beginning a new journey in life now. I just recently found out that my wife and I are having our first child. I am now growing what I'm calling a "baby beard". I hope that by April 15, 2010, I will have a full beard.
