I didn't get any facial hair 'til after age twenty. I rarely needed to shave, but desperately wanted a mustache to take away from the attention my large lips always got. I stopped shaving my lip and was finally able to grow a mustache. Then, when I was twenty-five, I went on a rafting trip down the middle of the Grand Canyon. At the end of the week, I had a full blond beard. I realized that it gave my face a better shape. It also gave me more confidence. I have had the beard ever since and have only shaved it once. I didn't like the shaved look, and neither did anyone close to me. Never shave it again!

How do I feel about my beard? I love it... I love the color. It's about the blondest an adult beard can get. It gives me more confidence. It's also become a bit of a trademark.
