I'm not exactly sure, but I knew I wanted to grow one early in 2006. I held off because of a project I was working on. My work is similar to journalism where I talk to strangers, and I thought that my beard would alienate people. I started that one July 2006 and kept it for nine months. I've been growing the current beard for about seven months.

How do I feel about my beard? I love it. I love the way it feels in the wind. It feels like a part of me. Well, it is a part of me, but it really feels natural. Most people react to the color.
