I grew my beard because I was influenced by wrestlers and heavy-metal mainly. To me my beard allows me a form of expression in life that I'm sometimes denied. If I'm not allowed crazy hair colour, piercings, etc. for a job, then I've always got my trusty, dependable beard. It makes me unique and adds character. It is part of my personality and who I am.

How do I feel about my beard? I class this as my second real beard. I hacked away the middle, leaving me with huge sideburns for a while as I wanted to grow the center of my beard thicker. I think, if only in a psychological way, it worked. I'm much happier with this beard and I love seeing it get longer!
