I grew my beard because I was a bit self-conscious about my weak chin. But I decided to keep it even after I underwent orthodontic treatment.

How do I feel about my beard? I love it! It sort of defines me and gives me character. None of my friends can remember me without a beard, as I started growing it when I was sixteen. Would never part with it! It's sort of grown on me and the ladies have never complained either. ;-D
