I have always enjoyed beards -- both my grandfather and father would grow beards off and on over the years. When I knew that I was capable of growing one, I did so immediately! I had one off and on for a number of years. As of now, I am committed to having one, and have had this beard for 2 years -- and I plan on having it for much longer!

I enjoy having one. It sets me apart, but not in a freakish manner. It is interesting to note how many people will compliment me on my beard -- many men will say how much they would like to have one, and many women say that it doesn't bother them all that much. I enjoy the thickness and length of my beard -- I am contemplating on letting it get longer. I have always envied the beard of Robert E Lee, and my goal is to let it grow that length and thickness.
