I grew my first beard following the birth of my daughter, as my father did for me back in 1976.

How do I feel about my beard? I was a late starter for beard growth, like my dad, and didn't really go for it until I was thirty-three. Since then, I have gone for the full beard, Amish-curtain and goatee. My favorite is still the full, but I'm experimenting with the goatee. Three months in so far...I am very pleased.
