Bearded since: 2006. I am an experimental beard grower.

Over spring break of 2006, I took a camping trip down into the Okefenokee Swamp in Georgia. There I did not have a method of grooming my facial hair, so I grew a fairly substantial beard. Since then, I've simply "let it go" and allowed the beard to develop in whichever way it desires.

I feel intensely positive about my beard. Oddly enough, I've found people react positively to it. This has been a delightful experience.
