My facial hair has always been limited by my job (restaurant and steel mill -- can't wear a respirator with facial hair). I kept a small goatee for a long time, but had to keep it very short in the restaurant and was forced to a 'stache only for the steel mill. Became free of that restraint about a month ago, and started growing the full beard I have always wanted.

It's comfortable and makes me feel more confident with myself. It kind of reflects my personality. Plus, I have red facial hair and I have always wanted to show it off.
