Bearded since: 1991. I am a dedicated, permanent beard grower.

I grew my beard because I always wanted to grow one, but was unable to until I got out of the Navy. I've kept it 99% of time since then (with occasional forays into goatee land). Current growth is unchecked since November 2009 (except for side trimming to blend for haircuts).

How do I feel about my beard? I'm wavering at the "do I need to trim it back?" vs. "how far can I go?" I'm in a white collar profession. So I am starting to worry about looking "professional".
