Bearded since: on and off since puberty. I am an experimental beard grower.

I grew my beard because facial hair experimentation is one of my favorite ways to keep people guessing. Folks who only see me once a month, always marvel at how different I look at each encounter. These photos are not quite current. The beard part went away, and now I've got a Dali-worthy mustache only.

How do I feel about my beard? I love my beard and mustache. In fact, the main reason I shaved my beard was so that I wouldn't keep finding bits of muffin in it. Nearly had a disaster one day, when I found a marble-sized crumb of a recently-eaten pastry hanging out in my facial hair scant minutes before an important business meeting. So it had to go.
