I grew my beard because I first liked how it look on other adults. Growing a beard helped me redefine who I was and set me apart from others in both my family and my circle of friends.

How do I feel about my beard? Now that I have a long (and somewhat gray) beard, it's like an appendage. I wouldn't know what to do without it. It may seem strange to others but I really don't know and cannot imagine how I would look without it. I have had many styles over the years including the (ugh) chin strap. This is the one that I like. It is unique and it fits my personality at this time. I'll have to shave someday but not today.
