I joined the military right after high school and was in for five years. Forced to shave every day, I decided right before I got out that I would let it grow to see what it is like. I have received nothing but compliments from everyone (except my wife).

How do I feel about my beard? I love my beard and will continue growing it until I am required to shave it due to my career or until I simply want to get rid of it. I see neither of these things interfering with my beard in the near future.
