Why did I grow my beard? Mutton chops were hilarious to me. My friends and family frowned or laughed at the idea, so that encouraged me to GO IN.

How do I feel about my beard? I have a "black guy" beard, and after looking at the site, I saw virtually no other African-American beard grower. This made me feel even greater about my beard and my contribution to this site as one of the premier African-American bearded chosen ones.
