Bearded since: 1991 off and on, 2009 this time around. I am a dedicated, permanent beard grower (off and on in the past because of jobs, full time now).

I started growing my current beard the day my youngest daughter was born. I wore many variations of the goatee in high school and college because I could grow it well and it stood out. Since school I have worn a full beard when jobs permitted. My father had a full beard for some time when I was young, and an important family friend wore a long full beard all the time I can remember him from my youth. I like the connection my beard makes to my Dad and to Bill.

How do I feel about my beard? I love having my beard. It is longer than I have grown before and I can't wait for it to get even longer.
