Bearded since: December 2008. I am an experimental beard grower.

Since I work outdoors, I thought I would try growing a beard to see if it kept my face warm through the winter...it worked.

How do I feel about my beard? I like it. I have learned that folks look at you or pay more attention to you when you have a beard. I have gotten more looks from passersby when they think I can't see them. They stare at me a little bit...possibly because my beard may make me look a bit mean or shady. It's weird to be looked at that way when you are normally clean shaven and look like a completely harmless twit.
