I grow my beard for fun and to avoid shaving. I also like how it looks and how I feel when I have it.

How do I feel about my beard? I love my beard but wish that it didn't grow so high up the cheek bones. I like the natural beard line, but mine feels too high to look clean cut. My beard is also very coarse so it rarely feels soft or comfortable, but each time I grow it I feel more used to it. I have never made it past about eight weeks before suddenly shaving it. But lately I've restarted it each time I shave it. My wife also likes it for a while then starts finding it to be stinky or annoying. Fortunately, she generally likes how I look with it.
