Why did I grow my beard? My dad has had a beard since I was little, only shaving it on rare occasions. Other than certain jobs where I was required to be clean-shaven, I have worn a beard of some sort since graduating from college.

How do I feel about my beard? I have a love/hate relationship with my beard. I have gone through many phases and styles, from goatee-only to full Grizzly Adams. The picture I am uploading is from just after the end of an overseas assignment for work, where I was able to go without shaving (or even cutting my hair) for about four months. I only trimmed my mustache in order to eat sandwiches.
