Why did I grow my beard? I felt a calling deep under my pores and my natural instinct took over as hair poured out of my face. I didn't grow my beard, my beard grew me.

How do I feel about my beard? I don't go anywhere without my beard and over the last couple of months, I've become best friends with it. We go on long walks together and back each other up with round-house kicks to anyone who dares make a comparison of us to a serial killer or terrorist. If beard marriage were legal in Texas, we would reap the economic benefits, but regardless we're life partners. Once no-shave November is over we'll face some tough times, but I know we'll make it.
