I grew my beard because I CAN. Actually, growing facial hair (my goatee) makes me feel more masculine.....and also helps the shape of my face to appear more narrow. I've have my short cropped goatee on/off for the past fifteen years or so, depending upon my mood.

How do I feel about my beard? Well, for the most part I'm glad I have it. Though, I wish it were more FULL. It's weird, but I've got this envy of guys who are able to grow full beards. You know...hair on the face that connect all the dots together, with no bald spots?

Though, it's guys that are able to grow full, thick (not long or bushy) SOUL PATCHES, that I really am envious of! Most guys that have beards can't grow complete soul-patches. But those that can, I swear, have got a skip in their step! (Or is it just my imagination? What do you think? Any other guys out there with the full soul-patch envy?) Either way, whenever I see a guy with a full goatee, I simply say to myself, "That's so unfair!" I've even thought of getting myself soul-patch hair transplant!! I've heard it can be done.
