Why did I grow my beard? Originally it was intended to make my throat tattoo feasible with work. It has now become a permanent part of how I look and always seems to evoke a good response from people that I meet.

How do I feel about my beard? My father is an ex Royal Navy man and has been bearded my whole life. My beard is an expression of strength and connects me to him. I have been asked by prospective partners to shave it off, but it is still there and is improving all the time. I definitely see it as a work in progress.
