Why did I grow my beard? Frankly, the decision wasn't mine but my barber's. I hadn't shaved during my first year annual college exams and one day after the exams were over, I went to the barber to get a shave. He said that I had a good growth and might as well try to trim it so that it looks elegant instead of gauche. Well, after the make-over was done, I felt great and have since sported the look, mostly drawing compliments.

How do I feel about my beard? Every time I look at myself in the mirror, I feel my beard gives me a sense of inner strength and security. It keeps the riff-raff away and gives me a weighty personality, since I'm pretty thin.
