I grew my beard because I always wanted one... Had a goatee/'stache as soon as I could grow one. After my son was born, I let the full beard grow and kept it neatly trimmed (sort of) for years. Last year, noticed the beard was getting thicker (and greyer!) and decided to let it grow out, mostly out of curiousity. The photos I uploaded are over the course of the last year. The last time I trimmed my beard was March 2007.

How do I feel about my beard? I love it... I foolishly shaved clean once some years ago. Lasted exactly one day. Will never repeat that mistake as I hated my face with no hair on it! Current beard (getting quite long) is becoming harder to maintain, lots of split ends, tangles easily... I have to brush several times daily and I guess I should find a good conditioner... but I'm still growing it!
