Why did I grow my beard? I like to embrace my masculine attributes. I've never been into the whole androgynous fad that has gone on in Europe now for far too long. Thankfully, at least in Sweden, beards are now becoming more and more popular. I'm proud to be able to say I've had facial hair way before it became "in".

I say that other guys and I who've had the gonads to stand out and ignore currents trends are the ones who, through our good looks and general masculinity, have indeed set this new trend. We are the leaders. The trend slaves are the followers.

How do I feel about my beard? I love my beard. For the longest time I've been very unsatisfied with the density of growth, but as I've grown older it's starting to fill in nicely. I'll never be a Jonathan "Riker" Frakes, but I now sport a beard to be proud of.
