Why did I grow my beard? I've always been interested in beards, something mysterious about it, it sets you apart. I can think back at various points when I was in middle school wanting facial hair, and being told I would look good with a beard and thought little of it. But moving along in life it grew on me and kept trying it off and on, sporting mutton chops and then a full beard around seventeen. Going off to college up at Norwich University made me miss a beard, because of the Corp's military requirements. Often grew a beard over breaks and hated shaving it off. It wasn't until graduation I stopped shaving and been keeping one since.

How do I feel about my beard? I like it. It's one of a kind like anyone's whiskers. But it's grown up a lot like me, has some red here and there. Of recent I have not trimmed it. So it's been fun seeing it grow without a trim and learning to comb it so it does not get that bad beard day.
