It was in 1973, I had left to camp for three weeks in Bénidorm in Spain. To economize on the water, it was stopped during the day. The first day, I saw persons who met without being able to rinse otherwise than leaving in the beach. To avoid this situation, I developed the habit to take a shower at night without shaving myself in the same breath! First one week, then the entire stay and I came back with a beard which I have had ever since.

How do I feel about my beard? Thirty-seven years! Now, it is a part of me. I completely forgot how I was before and I do not imagine myself without. If I found in front of a mirror without beard, I would feel I'm seeing a different person.
