Bearded since: 1991 (off and on). I am an occasional or seasonal beard grower.

I grew my beard because I can. It's not patchy or anything and I get many compliments on it. My father had a full beard. I just decided to try it when I was of age and I liked it. Plus, it goes against the norm of society these days. And who wants to be a conformist? Not I!!

How do I feel about my beard? I love it. I hate the process of growing it out, but once it's grown out it is easy to maintain. I also like the fact that, unlike many men with blonde hair, my facial hair is actually brown and not reddish. If it were red, I don't think I'd like it as much.
