Why did I grow my beard? I decided to grow a beard as it has been a contentious issue with me for a long time. I am nearly forty-six and thought that it is now time to press on to my birthright in some ways, to grow a beard. I have envied others for a long time and decided to give it a proper red hot go.

How do I feel about my beard? So far, I am feeling chuffed that it looks as though it may just fill in nicely enough to leave. I have always felt follicle-ly challenged but think that I may have reached a degree of facial hair maturity now to actually press on and grow it properly.

I am enjoying my beard!
