Bearded since: September 11, 2011. I am an experimental beard grower.

Comments:
Why did I grow my beard? I have always admired a beard and felt that it was a sign of manhood and someone with wisdom. I tried my first time when I was thirty-nine and i grew it for six months and then shaved. If I could grow one that looks good, I would never shave. I despise the ones who can grow a seasonal beard in four to six weeks and look great and full. Makes me feel like crap. LOL.

How do I feel about my beard? Now I turned forty and I started growing it in September 1st. These photos are at a little over four months. I have great genes on my mother's side. But on my father's side, i have very little and those are the genes I got unfortunately. My beard is very thin and its has points where it stops growing for a while and then picks back up. In the morning I take men's one-a-day vitamin and a biotin 5000 supplement. In the evening I take three hair, skin, and nail vitamins and I try to eat plenty of greens. I also massage olive oil cream in my beard before I sleep, which has a lot of different supplements in it for hair. I'm going for a year's growth this time and maybe forever if it starts to look good.
