I grew my beard because I felt like I could grow a beard that would look good on me and fit my personality. I've enjoyed the experiment and definitely plan on having one seasonally, if not more often. I do have problems with mine growing curly or wavy. Then it's often difficult to control. It's also rather thin on the sides.

How do I feel about my beard? I like the way it looks and feels. I've noticed I seem to be getting treated with more respect with a beard. Sometimes I'd really like for it to be thicker and the hair straighter. I first tried an extended goatee with mustache but the extended part of the goatee wasn't thick enough.
