Four years later, and I am still growing. I had to cut it back a couple years ago when I got into some poison ivy. But I have since recovered.

How do I feel about my beard? My beard has become my trademark. In my work, my customers have asked for me by requesting "the big guy with the beard" and that helps me with my income.

The reactions from folks when they first see me can be hilarious, especially the kids. Most are favorable. Some just don't get it; and even if I tried to explain they probably wouldn't understand anyway.

Many conversations have started with, "You have a beard!" and I sometimes want to respond, "You have double chins!" or some such. But I don't. Ha ha!
