With my ability to grow a beard quickly (the included photo is at three months), it would be a slap in the face to all those unable to grow one if I kept myself clean-shaven.

This is similar to finishing your dinner because there are starving kids in Africa.

How do I feel about my beard? I love it. I feel a skin-deep connection with it, and I frequently worry someone will maliciously take it away from me with an electric razor while I sleep.
