I grew my beard because I liked the way it looked on others and wanted to see how I looked. My grandfather always had one, as well as an uncle. I had a goatee before so I wanted to see how a full beard would look.

How do I feel about my beard? It makes me feel grown up and more confident. I like it even though it has a mixture of brown, red, black, and, unfortunately, an increasing number of white hairs. To all the young guys who debate over growing a beard, do it now before the gray hair takes over! It really keeps me warm on my winter outside running days.
