Why did I grow my beard? I was a corrections officer for twenty-five years and spent my entire adult life having someone else tell me how I could grow my facial hair. I had a very short beard for the last ten years and when I retired this summer, I started growing it out.

How do I feel about my beard? Love it and will keep growing it until it is about a foot from my chin.
