I started to grow my beard because I was one of the few lucky Asians that can actually grow a full beard. I got a lot of compliments and comments about how I am their first bearded Asian they have ever seen. Basically, I get a kick out of it. I love my beard, but not during the summer because it gets pretty hot. So during the summer time, I have a chin strap.

How do I feel about my beard? I love my beard. I feel unique and I stand out more. It also embraces my masculinity. Beards are quite common with Japanese people unlike Chinese and Koreans that rarely can grow a full beard. Therefore, it also embraces my ethnic background.
