I first grew my beard while preparing for the bar exam, as my personal "playoff" beard. After growing the beard over this period of time, I appreciated the sophisticated and mature look it provided. This beard helped to gain respect while dealing with older clients and presenting argument in court. My beard has made me a better lawyer because it demands respect. My original inspiration for the bar exam beard is also a member of this site, Gerald, who was inspired by his father's luxurious beard.

How do I feel about my beard? I am glad to join the great bearded figures that helped make the USA what it is today.
