I grew my beard because I hate to shave. It looks better than my naked chin. Over the years, my beard has become a distinctive part (so I am told) of how people instantly recognize me. What cracks me up most is how little kids stare at me in restaurants, supermarkets and other stores. I just smile back, and wave.

How do I feel about my beard? I love it. It is simply part of who I am, and how lots of people instantly recognize me.
