I grew my beard because I thought shaving was unnatural and a waste of time, money, and focus. A beard was more like me -- my essence and who I am. It was also a statement of personal FREEDOM. I've always had a full beard or varying length, depending on how I feel. At first I trimmed it with a scissors and comb. Now I use a brush and a beard clippers with a spacer. I color my beard brown. It's easy and assists me in my work appearance. I'm seventy-eight years old and work as a massage therapist. If I don't color, I'm concerned that prospective clients would think that I'm not strong enough... (Ha!!)

How do I feel about my beard? Hey, I enjoy it... It's a good adjunct to love making!! It's part of who I am...
