I had never grown any kind of facial hair when I started growing my beard. I could go several days without shaving. So I grew it to see if I could.

How do I feel about my beard? It's still growing, so I don't know what to think. I haven't shaved in almost two years, but I have trimmed it close to the skin. Right now I have been growing since October 28, 2010, which was the last time I trimmed it. Overall, I think it's patchy, but thick in places. It's about three different colors, making it hard to see in places. But it's mine and hopefully it fills out. I think I'll keep it.
