I grew my beard because my father always had a beard when I was growing up and I came to associate beard-wearing with strength and masculinity. I think a beard shows that a man is confident in himself and with who he is. I feel a real bond with other beard wearers.

How do I feel about my beard? My beard gives me great confidence and I take great pride in keeping it well groomed. When I was young, my father told me of a saying: "Tired of beards? Tired of life" -- this is something that his father had told him and I think it is as relevant in today's world as it was all those years ago.
