As soon as I left school for university I began experimenting with my 'look' by piercing my ears, buying new specs, trying different hair styles and growing a goatee. I suppose it was about finding my identity, although at the start it was scraggly.

How do I feel about my beard? I'd feel naked without it! It covers flaws like my pudgy chin, a dimpled scar on one cheek and a flaky patch of skin on my other cheek. Most times I keep it trimmed quite close, so it's more like thick stubble.
