There's a funny story behind this actually. I saw an article about a man who grew out his beard for a whole year trying to live out the Old Testament Laws. (This was just one of the many things he did for this.) But because of his picture, I was inspired to grow out my beard for a whole year without trimming the edges of my beard. (My friend also upped the ante by betting me I couldn't do it.) Due to complications with my work, I will only be able to grow it out for a little over six months. I'm currently venturing into month five and it has been quite a trip. I have not trimmed my beard at all since November of 2007 and I have occasionally trimmed my mustache. I'm only nineteen, so this is the longest I've ever grown my beard.

How do I feel about my beard? I like my beard a lot. Although it's beginning to get a little out of a control. I couldn't be happier with this experience. I am a little ready to shave it, but only because I'd like to shape it, seeing as part of the deal is not to trim it at all.
