I grew my beard because I just wanted to be like my ancestors: Socrates, Aristotle, Pericles... Just kidding!...

Being one year in the army, it was long enough to get sick of shaving every day. As soon as it was over, I started to grow a goatee out of reaction. Unfortunately my efforts in shaping it weren't that successful and looking for information on the Internet, I found this site. After a while I decided to try to grow a full beard, something that I hadn't thought before. In fact I thought that I wasn't able to grow one and also it was too itchy for me to tolerate. These photos are taken after forty days of not shaving and some trimming. I hope it's popular with the ladies! (Hopefully from now on they won't mistake me for a twenty-year-old. I'm twenty-seven.)

How do I feel about my beard? I think it's cool! It's something new for me. It's weird, but I feel more confident. It's far from perfect (especially the mustache and lower lip areas), but I'm proud of it.
