I grew my beard because I just saw it as an opportunity for self discovery. It takes a lot of self control and will power to grow a beard and stick with it. I wanted to be able to make the claim, "I can grow a beard."

How do I feel about my beard? I love it. It gives me a lot of self confidence. In growing a beard I no longer rely on others to make me feel good about myself.
