Bearded since: 2006. I am an experimental beard grower.

I grew my beard because I never wanted to "grow" up and for me this is a symbol of moving on and growing up...a true testament to my masculinity...becoming a man, so to speak, at 32 years old.

I think it looks sexy. A lot of my friends say I now look butch and then we just giggle like schoolgirls. My students just know I am plain odd. For me, I really like having it, but it does feel and look foreign sometimes.
