Bearded since: 2007. I am an occasional or seasonal beard grower.

I grew my first beard during the fall of 2007 as an experiment. I've always shaved regularly, usually every three days, but that year I had an urge to give a beard a shot. I was very happy with it, but I ended up shaving it because it itched too much. Then in the winter of 2008 I tried again because I liked the look. That time I gave up after only after like four weeks because of the itching again. However, this fall of 2009 I was more determined than ever and I was convinced that I would successfully go for a full natural beard all the way till summer. So far so good, this one has been great since I started shampooing and conditioning my beard. It has made such an incredible difference. No itching whatsoever! I can't wait to see what it'll look like by summer.

How do I feel about my beard? I absolutely love it! One thing I kinda wish was different was I wish my mustache connected a little better with my beard, but it's all right. Another thing is that I wish my chin was covered up to my lip rather than it being where it is now. But overall I'm pleased. I think it'll just keep getting better and better as time goes by and it gets bigger.
