I had a bike accident and skinned my face. Shaving was a problem for a month with all the scarring - I had stitches in my lip and the left side of my face was a mess. I grew a goatee initially and got a great reaction when I returned to work. I grew the rest in shortly after. I have shaved it off occasionally for acting gigs - but it goes straight back on afterwards!

I love it! It makes me feel complete as a man. I feel it gives me more authority and it feels great to touch. I'm very happy with the thickness and the way it grows -- I have a distinct soul patch which look stylish -- without the bother of a lot of sculpting! I've experimented with lots of different styles (I'm easily bored) but I always have at least a goatee. My wife hated it to begin with, but now she hates it when I do go back to clean shaven, even if it's only for a day or two. My favourite style is a heavy goatee -- it looks good with my shaven head.

It is every man's birth right to grow his beard -- more men should do it.
