I'm experimenting to see if the goatee and mustache adds balance to my appearance since I shaved my head due to male pattern baldness. I have had full beards in the past, more than twenty years ago, but for my purposes the ending of a full beard and the beginning of a shaved head are hard to reconcile.

How do I feel about my beard? I like the feel of the beard as it has gotten longer. I would prefer to have it a little more dense, but I don't have the genetic makeup. I hope as it matures it will appear more dense than it actually is. I'm pleasantly surprised at the positive responses I've gotten to the "goat" and I'm going to let it mature for a couple of more months before I decide what I will do for the long term. Eating is a mess and that's been the major problem to get around. Otherwise, it's okay.
