I had a goatee since leaving the forces in 2005. I decided to grow a full beard early in 2008. I shaved it off after about eight weeks. I then felt "naked" without it. I've kept a full beard of some description ever since and will never be shaven again.

How do I feel about my beard? I'm fine with it now. I was annoyed at first because it came out very reddish/ginger. I've got very dark brown hair all over, so it was a bit of a shock! I wish it grew more on my cheeks but never mind, I've got what God gave me so that's cool. It makes me man, and a confident one at that!
